Appreciating the efforts of their employees and contribution in the esteemed success of LSEG Sri Lanka, LSEG made a generous contribution to their employees as a response to the pandemic.

LSEG has diversified its global business through the provision of on Information Technology, Risk and Balance Sheet Management, as well as Capital Formation services to their customers.
Voluntary effort in uplifting the society!
LSEG voluntarily contributed LKR 5 million to UNICEF in supporting Sri Lanka’s response on Covid-19. But they didnt stop there. LSEG did not forget their internal members of the organization, who are believed to be the reasons behind the success of LSEG. LSEG sent in hampers to all their employees, which included rations, food & beverages and other FMCG products that are used daily by the employees. This effort became a trending topic on social media with the hashtag “#lsegappreciates”, where all members updated their social media with the hashtag.
It is a win-win strategy: employees are happy, LSEG is happy
The main highlight of these hampers was the mug which had “We Appreciate You” printed on it. This was a direct way of appreciating the steadfast commitment and support of the employees in ensuring that LSEG’s services to financial markets were uninterrupted and helped them manage peak levels of volumes and rapid fluctuations during the pandemic. The employees did so by working from home regardless of the global travel and curfew restrictions imposed in Sri Lanka to prevent the prevalence of Covid-19.
Why did LSEG take such action?
This is mainly because LSEG strongly believes that their success and performance is credited to the employees that handle the operations at the ground-level by effectively implementing the strategic decisions of LSEG. Therefore, LSEG is committed in ensuring that all the members of their organization are motivated, satisfied, and show high organizational citizenship behavior, which are key factors in the creation of a competitive advantage in terms of a strong workforce.
This appreciation strategy used by LSEG and its generous contributions to the society have helped LSEG establish a positive, helping, and supportive brand identity and perception.
