The Entrepreneur recently sat down with Sanjeev Ganeshan, also known as Transformational Guru G Coach. He took the time to help us comprehend the intricacies of transformational coaching for personal development to aid in rewiring the brain (particularly for students, corporate leaders and athletes aiding them to find their inner self to become their best version for Peak Performance), addressing the subconscious mind and how to deal with anxiety, depression, etc to become the best version of oneself. As well as the importance of coaching for the Corporate Sector in dealing with employee fears during the pandemic, as well as anxiety, productivity and positivity during times of crises.

Transformational coaching is similar to life coaching. It involves helping people bettering themselves and their lives by bringing about necessary changes. Instead of changing how they act, however, as with life coaching clients, transformational coaching clients work on changing the way they see themselves.

The word ‘transformational’ is common in business today, and it certainly fits for the state of the world. Business transformation is a mandate that requires continuous attention from corporate leaders and benefits those who are resilient, focused, aligned, flexible and committed to business success beyond just financial gains. One of the most prominent ways the idea of transformation is used in business is for transformational leadership, to ensure leadership goals are attained, enhancing the motivation, morale, and job performance of colleagues.

Sharing his guidance and knowledge with the Entrepreneur viewers, Transformational Guru G Coach has a Degree in International Business, Business Admin, Economics with Specialization in Marketing from the University of Wisconsin Superior USA, a Certified Wellness Coach, a Certified Life Coach, a Certified NLP Practitioner, a Certified Mindful Meditation Practitioner, a specialist in the subconscious and superconscious mind, and the only Certified Law Of Attraction Practitioner in Sri Lanka. He stated “transformational coaching is not just for entrepreneurs, but also for anyone that wants to be content and mentally and emotionally healthy and successful. You need to dig deep and find your inner self to arrive at being mindful and being in the present. Although it has become a trending phrase, particularly during recent times it takes a lot of practice and discipline to achieve this state of mind. Once achieved the results are miraculous.”

As we see increased popularity of spiritual practice and guidance, globally in the business and corporate sectors, for HR and T&D purposes – Sri Lanka too has begun a slow but steady shift into corporate uses of spiritualism. Corporates have begun investing in the overall emotional, spiritual and mental health of their employees, as part of monthly T&D practices.
